Will a Samsung charger kill my LG phone?

My LG phone charger went missing, and my phone died. Everybody else in my family has Samsung phones, so I tried a Samsung charger with my phone, and it's working. I have read some other threads and they said that a Samsung charger would fry my battery. Is this true? If so, I'll go and buy a new charger from US Cellular, but if not, I'd rather just save money and use the Samsung charger.
